Our 2025 Night 'n Day Rainbow Runs are bringing the colour and fun to communities across Otago this October and November!
With the generous support of naming rights sponsor Night 'n Day, we will be holding Rainbow Run events in Dunedin, Ōamaru, Balclutha, Wānaka, Queenstown, and Alexandra this year.
Night 'n Day Rainbow Runs are fun events where hundreds of participants run or walk around marked 3km courses (5km in Waitaki) and become their own works of art as they pass through five colour checkpoints. We encourage participants to wear white or black clothing to really make the colour stand out!
More than just a fun day out, it is a celebration of community, wellbeing, and active lifestyles in Otago. We have been running these events across Otago for more than 10 years, and they continue to bring the fun and colour to those involved.
2025 Night 'n Day Rainbow Runs dates:
- Dunedin – Sunday, October 19
- Waitaki – Saturday, November 8
- South Otago – Saturday, November 15
- Wānaka – Friday, November 21
- Queenstown – Saturday, November 22
- Alexandra – Friday, November 28

Note: The coloured powder used is a food grade product, so it washes off clothes and bodies easily, but we suggest wearing older clothes and shoes you don't mind getting a bit colourful!
