Night 'n Day Rainbow Run

Our Night ’n Day Rainbow Runs are returning to communities across Otago this November – and 2026 is set to be even more colourful, with two new colour stations being added to each event.

Run or walk around our 3km courses with your whānau and friends and become your own work of art as you pass through our colour checkpoints. Wear white or black clothing to really make the colour stand out!

With food, drink, music and play options on offer at the event, it's a great day out for everyone! Bring a gold coin for an ice cream from Night 'n Day. All ice cream proceeds go directly to Sport Otago's Sporting Chance fund, helping children affected by financial hardship to participate in sport.

Tickets are on sale now! $10 per person, or $30 per family.

  • Dunedin – Sunday 1 November, 11am start, Logan Park, Dunedin.
  • Waitaki – Saturday 7 November, 11am start, Ōamaru Racecourse.
  • South Otago – Sunday 8 November, 2pm start, Centennial Park, Balclutha.
  • Wānaka – Friday 20 November, 5pm start, Eely Point Reserve, Wānaka.
  • Queenstown – Saturday 21 November, 11am start, Frankton Recreation Reserve, Queenstown.
  • Alexandra – Friday 27 November, 5pm start, Molyneux Park, Alexandra.

We’re looking for businesses and organisations to come on board as Colour Station Sponsors at our 2026 Night 'n Day Rainbow Run events in Dunedin, Waitaki, Wānaka, Queenstown, Alexandra and South Otago.

It’s a great opportunity to get your brand in front of local families and communities, bring your team/clients along for a fun day out, and support an event that gets people moving while raising funds for a good cause.

By sponsoring a colour station, your business or organisation is at the heart of the action – connecting directly with hundreds of local families in a fun, positive and memorable environment.

Promotion & recognition: Your brand will be highlighted and thanked across Sport Otago’s social media channels before and after the event, with recognition through event marketing and local media coverage where possible.

Make a difference: Your sponsorship helps support an event that promotes movement, health, wellbeing and inclusivity. All event proceeds, along with gold coin donations for Night ’n Day ice creams, support Sport Otago’s Sporting Chance Fund, helping local children experiencing financial hardship participate in sport.
