Coach Development Workshops

Sport Otago’s Coach Development Workshop Series is back for Phase Two this June and July – and we’re bringing an incredible line-up of guest speakers to communities across Otago!

These free workshops are for coaches at all levels – whether you’re at your local clubs, in your communities, or in schools. While our focus is on coaches working with rangatahi (young people), the content is relevant for anyone who wants to grow their skills, confidence, and impact.

Our vision remains the same: to support the holistic development and growth of all coaches. These engaging sessions will help you better understand how to create positive, fun, safe, and effective environments for athletes to thrive in – all while deepening your own personal development as a coach.

What to expect:

  • Practical tools for implementing a holistic coaching model

  • Opportunities to connect with other coaches across all codes

  • Insights from experienced leaders across sport, high performance, community recreation and wellbeing

Guest speakers include:

  • Kane Jury (Highlanders Assistant Coach)

  • Jo Morrison (Netball NZ)

  • Belinda Colling (High Performance NZ)

  • Pete Gallagher (Former All Blacks Physio)
