Skeggs Foundation - Fuelling Otago Sport

Help the Skeggs Foundation Fuel Otago Sport

The Skeggs Foundation raises the money to support Otago sport with the people who choose to use the Skeggs Foundation Fuel Card.  Your Skeggs Foundation Fuel Card is the only option that puts back into your community and saves you money every day.  Why settle for the meat pie (which you didn't really want anyway), as a token reward when you could be helping Otago youth succeed, just like you did? No contest!

As well as supporting Otago athletes, you will get:

  • Competitive fuel discounts.
  • A choice of Mobil or BP card.
  • No need to collect vouchers or receipts.
  • One convenient fortnightly direct debit.
  • A range of discounts from other suppliers.
  • A choice of pump price discount (best for main centres), or regional price discount (best for towns and rural users).
  • Options for individuals, sole traders, and companies.
  • Individuals

You can apply online in minutes.  If you want more information on which card option is best for you, call Kiwi Fuelcards                          on 0800 43 83 83 or email and ask about the Skeggs Foundation card options.

Support for Athletes

The Skeggs Foundation supports elite and aspiring elite athletes in Otago to represent their province and New Zealand.

There are two funding rounds a year, closing on 20 March and 20 September.

Since 1993 thousands of athletes have been supported with millions of dollars in grants.  Athletes from Dunedin, Clutha, Waitaki, and Central Otago have been supported to compete in every sport from archery to water polo.

International Competition Grant

Athletes or families who use a Skeggs Foundation Fuel Card (Mobil or BP) may apply to receive a one-off grant of $2500 to assist them to attend a significant international competition.  Athletes who apply for the International Competition Grant should also apply for a standard grant.

Support for Coaches and Officials

The Otago Community Trust provides funds managed by the Skeggs Foundation that enable Otago coaches and officials to grow and improve representative sport across Otago.  You can see the area covered by the Otago Community Trust HERE.
