Now is the time to give some richly deserved thanks to those valuable people who help keep sport thriving in Otago, our volunteer coaches. The SPARC Volunteer Coach of the Year Awards are a chance for us to give something back to those coaches who give so much and ask so little in return. They may not coach for the recognition, but will can still give it to them!
Sport Otago is the regional body tasked with increasing the number of people leading active healthy lives across Otago. As such we have sought the views of the Dunedin City Council Mayoral candidates on what we believe are the two most important issues facing sport and recreation in our city. We hope you will consider their stance on sport and recreation when casting your vote this year.

Active Movement is all about encouraging physical activity and movement for young children. Over the next few months Sport Otago will be running a range of Active Movement workshops ideal for parents and those working in the early childhood sector.
