Here's your chance to go from one end of New Zealand to the other without the need to reach into your pocket and fill up the petrol tank!  In winter therenz-challenge-graphic is no better way to beat the cold than by taking part in some physical activity.  The New Zealand Challenge is designed to incorporate the activities you currently do and lets you strive to do more.

The challenge is ideal for organisations , schools and individuals to increase their physical activity levels and reach the top of New Zealand.  You can reach the top as an individual or in pairs.  You don't need to count your steps, use pedometers, or use websites to calculate your distance or energy expenditure.  All you need to know is how long you have been active for.  It is completely time based - every 30 minutes of physical activity edges your way closer to the sunny beaches of Cape Reinga. 

You can stroll leisurely and catch the sights of the country or if you want to get to the finish line as fast as you can, there are suggested activities which give a higher weighting.  For every 30 minutes of more strenuous exercise you do, the more boxes on the map you can mark off (as indicated by the key on the map.)

Each person/pair who takes part is given a poster to make their progress up New Zealand.
