What Can I Apply For? You can apply for any cost directly related to your coaching/officiating. Be aware that the highest priority for funding is for coaches/officials who are developing their skills, and sharing those skills with others in their sport. Cost associated with training courses, gaining qualifications, and other opportunities that will directly increase your ability to support Otago athletes will be given higher priority. If you believe you are generally eligible download the application form here. Before submitting your application please ensure that: You fill out all the sections that are relevant to you. These are different for new applicants and those who have received a grant in the past. You have given us an idea of your total projected costs in your budget. Your best estimate is acceptable. Your have obtained the endorsement of your regional body, or national body where no regional body exists. We will not consider applications that do not have the support of the local governing body. If you are a new applicant or have changed banks since you last received a grant, attach a bank deposit slip. We will need this if you are successful in your application.
How Will I Know If I Have Received A Grant? After the Otago Community Trust Trustees meet to confirm the distribution of grants, all applicants, both successful and unsuccessful will be contacted. If you are successful you will be sent a contract that you have to complete and return to us so you can be paid your grant. You will also have to provide a photograph of yourself (preferably digital), the details of how to do this will be in your contract. You cannot be paid until your completed contract is returned to us. It can take a some time for you to be paid so don't rely on the money coming to you immediately after you return your contract. Unsuccessful applicants will be informed if they have not received a grant. The Trustees and Sport Otago staff will not answer questions regarding why a grant was not made. Reporting Those who receive a grant are required to submit a report outlining what they used the funds for. The deadline for reports made in the March funding round is 1 September. For the September funding round it is 1 March. You do not have to use this exact form, but please ensure you answer the questions on it if you are going to send us something else.
