Gary joined the Sport Otago Board in December 2003 and is Deputy Chairperson of the Board as well as Chairperson of the Finance Subcommittee. Gary represents our Board from the North Otago region and is based in Oamaru. Gary is a Board Member of the Otago Community Trust.
Gary has owned and operated several companies, including businesses in the photographic and horticultural industries. He is presently working as the South island Sales Manager for Ebode Homes, as well as running a small coffee business. He brings vast community and business experience with his involvement with the Waitaki District Council as a Councillor and Deputy Mayor, Irrigation North Otago as a Director, and his ongoing association with many other community groups.
Sport plays a big part in Gary’s life, actively playing soccer, indoor soccer, and occasionally golf, along with coaching junior basketball. Gary is passionate about promoting sport and has contributed greatly to the birth of Sport Waitaki. |
