Owen is responsible for managing the Sport Development team, which encompasses Sport Otago's education and sport development programmes. A graduate of the University of Otago's School of Physical Education, Owen has worked in the fitness industry and maintains a strong interest in exercise, physical activity and sport. Owen plays rugby for the Dunedin Club out at "Shark Park" in the winter and plays touch over the summer months. An active sportsperson as long as he can remember, Owen is now enjoying spending time on the sidelines supporting his children as they race around the netball courts and rugby fields of Dunedin. |
