‘Inactive Busters’ Award

The Sport Otago ‘Inactive Busters’ Award is about encouraging and promoting children to be creative and active during their lunchtimes and playtimes.

We want to see more kids being active in the playground in new and exciting innovative ways.  Schools need to invent a new game or activity that gets as many kids involved as possible.

Then all you need to do is send to the Schools team at Sport Otago the following:

• Some photos of the game (we may even be able to come out to your school and see your game in action!)
• Details of how it is played
• How many players can play at once

It’s that easy: get your school in to win the ‘Inactive Busters’ award.

At the end of each term, the Sport Otago Schools team will pick an overall winner who will be presented with the ‘Inactive Busters’ trophy which they will hold for a term. The school will get their name engraved on the trophy. The schools will also have their new game or activity published in the Sport Otago ACTiVATE magazine.

All games will be compiled together into a book and all schools who enter will receive a copy.
