The role of CoachForce Golf has three main focus areas.

(1) Junior Club Golf.

I will be focusing on getting as many clubs signed up to NZ Golf’s Junior Plus Programme.

What is Junior Plus?  The 'Junior Plus' programme is designed to help golf clubs develop quality junior golf programmes.

It was developed by New Zealand Golf and provides a national standard of excellence for junior golf programmes.  'Junior web_coach_force_golf_1Plus' enables clubs to provide a welcome environment for young people and a structured junior programme based on quality coaching.  The programme provides a structured, seasonal coaching programme that allocates juniors into small teams with their own coach who has been trained in the New Zealand Golf coach education programme.

 

 

(2) Volunteer Coaching Courses

Using NZ Golf’s coaching levels 1 and 2, I will be going around the province holding days for Volunteers to come and earn there level 1 or 2 certificate.  By doing this we will not only increase the number of coaches but also increase the quality.


(3) Increasing Junior Playing Numbers

This will be achieved by using NZ Golf’s schools programme.

    • Kiwigolf
      This aims to give primary school children a taste of golf
    • In2Golf
      This aims to give Intermediate School children a taste and a bit more of golf.
    • GolfLinx
      This aims to give Secondary School students a taste of golf and also advances from the In2Golf sessions

By using these systems and creating valuable links from schools to clubs it is anticipated playing numbers will increase across all ages.
