Thanks for becoming one of the most important people in sport - a coach! Coaches are more than just the person who helps the team or athlete grow and improve, they can also be mentors, role models, motivators and more. Young athletes especially need coaches and by taking on this role you will make a big difference in someones life.
If you want to know about how to get started in coaching, contact our Sport Manager, Mike Weddell and he will be very happy to give you advice and resources to get going. Mike can also help you with education and accreditation programmes for those wanting to advance their coaching career.
If you live outside Dunedin you can also contact your local regional office for advice on getting started in coaching or improving your coaching skills.
If you want to access SPARC (Sport And Recreation New Zealand) on-line resources about becoming a coach, click here.
